Earth Day, today and every day!

April 22, 2021 is Earth Day this year, and every year for that matter. Dating back to 1970, it is a day of recognition and support for environmental protection. On Point Residential Services strives to be a good steward of our environment and all of the materials required to help homeowners improve their own environment. We carefully plan each project, acquire only what we need to do the job right, return unused materials and salvage any “scraps” that may benefit another project of similar construct.

As an example of household natural resource thievery, this homeowner noticed the leaking faucet on the exterior of the house, when the valve was open. He was sufficiently DIY capable to remove the valve and uncover the hidden culprit, a freeze-thaw failure, even with this frost-free valve design. Around your own home, don’t ignore even the smallest signs of waste that can deplete our natural resources; a dripping faucet (1 drip/sec) wastes 5.7 gallons of water per day or 2,083 gallons per year. That’s about 69 baths a year for a typical bathtub.

When all of us do our part to conserve and protect, the Earth rewards us with the promise of a better tomorrow for all!
